Una, June 26 - Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that there has been a vast change in the education structure of Himachal Pradesh. Many renowned institutes of national and international level have been established in the state due to which the youth of the state have got opportunities for higher education in these institutes and the educational structure of the state has also been strengthened.

The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the Shining Award ceremony organized by The News Radar English News Network at Palakwah in Haroli Assembly constituency today. In this ceremony, 300 students from about 50 schools who scored more than 85 percent marks in the 10th and 12th examinations conducted by various education boards of district Una were awarded. Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal was also specially present on this occasion.
Mukesh Agnihotri said that many institutes like National Institute of Fashion Designing Technology (IIFT), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), various medical colleges and satellite center of PGI Chandigarh have been established in Himachal Pradesh. He said that these extensive changes taking place in the education structure of the state are not only providing opportunities for the talented youth of the state to move forward but are also working to encourage the children.
He advised the children to set goals and work hard to move ahead in life. He said that it is the dream of every parent that their child moves ahead in life and many parents devote their entire life to build the future of their children. In such a situation, he told the children to move ahead and try to understand the world so that they can achieve their set goals.
Mukesh Agnihotri said that these talented children of the district can play an important role in taking the state forward. He also called upon the children to cooperate in creating an environment against drug abuse. Expressing concern, he said that drug abuse has spread to the far-flung and tribal areas of the state. While the state government is working strictly against this social evil, no person involved in the illegal drug trade will be spared. He said that the district administration and police have been instructed to take strict action against drug dealers.
While sharing his views with the brilliant students, he said that the means of income generation in the state are limited and the state is burdened with a huge debt. In such a situation, new possibilities are being worked upon for income generation. He said that the government has received an income of about 15 crore rupees through open bidding for getting the desired vehicle number in the Transport Department itself. The state has the capacity to harness 22 thousand megawatt hydro power, out of which about 11 thousand megawatt hydro power capacity has been harnessed. He said that Himachal Road Transport Corporation is the lifeline of Himachal Pradesh and is working in this direction to provide bus facility to the far-flung and last villages of the state. Even though HRTC has to bear losses due to this.

Haroli has emerged as a hub of education due to continuous efforts of the last 25 years
The Deputy Chief Minister said that when he became MLA for the first time, there were no institutions to get basic education in Haroli. But with continuous efforts, today there are 33 senior secondary schools in Haroli and 3 degree colleges have been established to provide higher education. 2 ITIs have been opened to provide technical education. He said that an MoU has been signed with the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Saloh to strengthen the skill development center established at Palakwah at a cost of Rs 25 crore, under which in the coming time, skill development education will be provided to 2 thousand youth every year and the structure of the institute will also be strengthened. He said that educational institutions like law and nursing have been established in Haroli assembly constituency. Apart from this, Kendriya Vidyalaya has also been opened in Saloh.
Mukesh Agnihotri said that due to this extensive change in Haroli Vidhansabha area, the daughters here have benefited the most and opportunities for higher education are becoming available near home. Discussing the various development works going on in the district, he said that the Mata Shri Chintapurni temple complex is being developed at a cost of Rs 250 crore, which includes the construction of ropeway at a cost of 75 crore. He said that by starting the Darshan Slip system, the temple trust has received an income of about Rs 6 crore so far.
He said that after Haroli-Rampur bridge, now the construction work of Pandoga-Tyudi bridge and Loharli bridge is in progress at a cost of Rs 52 crore. Apart from this, it is proposed to construct a bridge at Mandli in Kutlahar assembly constituency at a cost of Rs 944 crore. He said that in view of the farmers' interest in potato crop and production in Una, efforts will be made to establish potato based industry.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the ground water level in Una district is falling, so in order to meet the water needs, work will be done in the coming time to create water schemes from Bhakra and Pong Dam. He also said that our ponds play an important role in recharging the ground water level and provide drinking water to wild animals and other animals and birds. He stressed on closing any such old ancient pond in the district and making people aware about not running any other type of activity. He also directed the district administration to take concrete steps in this direction.
He congratulated the students being honored in the ceremony for their future successful life and also thanked the organizers for organizing this event. He said that while such felicitation ceremonies strengthen the morale of talented children, they also inspire them to move ahead.
He also announced to donate one lakh rupees from his side for organizing the program.

Addressing the children on this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal shared his success story with the children and said that to move ahead in life, one should choose the profession for which one is passionate. He motivated the children to move ahead by giving them the message of self-reliance. He also said that parents and teachers should cooperate by becoming good friends in achieving the set goals. He said that they should always keep learning in life and keep their mind open and try their best to give their 100% in whatever work they do.
