Patiala, June 25 - District Sports Officer, Patiala Rupesh Kumar Begra while giving information said that today trials of players were conducted in various sports for admission in sports wing in colleges at Raja Bhalinder Singh Sports Stadium Polo Ground.
He said that under the Sports Wing Scheme, sports equipment, training and residential players will be provided to the selected players and food/refreshments will be provided to the day-scholar players at the rate of Rs 225/- per player per day and day-scholar players at the rate of Rs 125/- per player per day.
He said that today trials of girls were conducted for athletics, basketball, boxing, badminton, cycling, football, gymnastics, hockey, handball, judo, kabaddi, kho-kho, lawn tennis, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, weight lifting, power lifting, fencing and wrestling. About 100 players participated in these trials.
