SAS Nagar, June 24 - The 20-day athletics summer camp organized by the District Athletics Association at the Nature Park in Mohali was successfully completed.
The camp held during the summer vacation proved to be a memorable one for the children starting from the age group of eight years to older and those interested in athletics of the district. During the camp, around 100 children who participated were given basic training in athletics as well as information about fitness activities, good diet and psychological health.
During the camp, under the supervision of coaches Swaran Singh and Malkit Singh, Madam Mandeep Kaur, Madam Raj Ravi and Gurminder Singh Dhesi trained the future athletes with full responsibility and discipline. Meanwhile, refreshments were also given to the children every day Which was arranged by the association members and parents together.
At the end of the camp, former councilor of Mohali and social worker Gurmeet Singh Walia participated as the chief guest and distributed certificates to the children who attended the summer camp full time. On this occasion, the association also gave prizes to the training team and for the support given by the parents of the children.
During the summer camp, the entire team of District Athletics Association Mr. Pritam Singh, SS Dhanoa, Harpal Singh Channa (former councillor), SIS Kora, Dr. Harinderjit Singh, Ram Kumar Vashisht, Paramdeep Singh Baidwan, Sandeep Singh Sandhu, Surjit Singh, Jasmine Kaur, Gurcharan Singh, Prabhjot Singh, Rajan Puri, Simranjit Singh, Sandeep provided ample support. Finally, President Malkit Singh thanked everyone.
