Patiala, June 24 - Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh held a high-level meeting at Zilla Parishad complex regarding the ongoing and new works in the villages of Patiala district. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Dr. Harjinder Singh Bedi, District Development and Panchayat Officer, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Patiala, Executive Engineer Panchayati Raj Patiala, Executive Engineer Water Supply and Sanitation and all BDPOs of the district were present on this occasion.
During the meeting, Dr. Balbir Singh said that it should be ensured that the development works are timed And the concerned officer shall be responsible for any delay or error in the work. He said that a meeting will be held every week to review the development works of the villages In which other feedback will also be taken including reviewing the progress of the work done during the week.
 On this occasion, Dr. Balbir Singh discussed various issues and after reviewing the development work, he gave instructions to the concerned departments regarding the construction of the pond wall of Gram Panchayat Barn and the de-watering of the ponds of different villages. Also instructed regarding construction of treatment plant in Gram Panchayat Nandpur. He asked to connect it with village Lalauda to solve the problem of drinking water in Gram Panchayat Ichhewal. He also instructed BDPO Patiala Rural to complete the ongoing work under Gram Panchayat Nandpur Kesho and Gram Panchayat Baran within 15 days.
