Like previous years, Yoga centre i.e. CCRYN-Collaborative Centre for Mind Body Intervention through Yoga of PGIMER takes privilege in spreading awareness of Yoga and it benefits by organising International Day of Yoga (IDY) event, competitions, workshops, lectures and conference. This year’s IDY celebration at PGIMER is special as Health care workers are actively participating in various Yoga-related competitions under the event YOGSPARDHA which is being conducted since starting of June.
Slogan and painting competition and Krida Yoga competition, the last competitions under YOGSPARDHA, was organised at Yoga Centre for Health Care Professionals. The theme for the competition was “Yoga for Women Empowerment” Dr. Alka Khadwal, Professor (BMT), Department of Clinical Haematology & Medical oncology, welcomed all the participants and explained the rules of the competition. She was pleased with the active participation. More than 50 participants competed for Slogan and painting competition and more than 25 had registered for the Krida Yoga competition.
The event was organized to make health care professional aware of the Self-care and eventually spread the message to the society. Yoga practice helps HCWs to manage their work stress, physical and mental health and maintain an healthy environment around them.
With the end of YOGSPARDHA, Yoga centre with PGIMER family gears up for 10th IDY celebration on 21st June 2024.
