Garhshankar - Constituency MLA and Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Mr. Jai Krishan Singh Rowdy held a meeting with the farmers of the constituency and officials of Kandi Kanal canal at the local PWD rest house and discussed the issue of Kandi Kanal canal water in different areas. Gave instructions to Kandi Kanal Canal officials to solve the existing problems.
 Giving information about the meeting, Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh said that the dream of Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Singh Mann is to deliver canal water to every farm in Punjab so that underground water can be saved. Mr. Rowdy said that a detailed discussion was held with the officials of the canal department to fulfill this objective Mr. Rowdy appealed to the farmers who have not yet received canal water They should contact their office at Garhshankar soon
He said that soon camps will be set up in the village for canal water. On this occasion, Charanjit Singh Channi, Baldeep Singh Ibrahimpur, farmers' leader Inderpal Singh, Harpreet Singh Bains, Jujhar Singh Nagra, Makhan Singh Parowal, Harjinder Dhanjal, Balwinder Bhrowal, besides officials of canal department were present with him.
