The representatives present in this meeting were informed about the One Time Settlement Scheme 2023 launched by the Punjab Government. And it was told that the government has extended till June 30, 2024, giving a big relief to the business class under this scheme. Under this scheme traders whose assessment cases related to VAT/CST/PIDF/PGST Act have been determined before 31.03.2024. Among them, 100% tax, interest and penalty have been waived in cases with tax demand below 1 lakh. And in cases from 1 lakh to 1 crore, the trader is exempted from 100% interest and penalty And by depositing 50% of the tax amount the trader can settle his case under OTS.
All the representatives present in the meeting assured to give full support to the tax department in this regard. Mr. Sachin Gupta (State Tax Officer), Mrs. Satinder Kaur Khabra (Tax Inspector), Mr. Radha Raman (Tax Inspector) and Mr. Narendra Kumar (Tax Inspector) were present in this meeting.
