SAS Nagar, June 10 - Social service organization Fight for Human Rights Welfare planted trees dedicated to the martyrdom of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Sahib Ji.
The organization's president Jasbir Singh said that with the help of Municipal Corporation Superintendent Anil Kumar, shady and herbal plants were planted in the park in front of the rain shelter in Phase-6 Mohali.
He said that under the campaign 'One Tree, 100 Happiness' being run by the organization, people are being made aware about the benefits of trees for environmental protection in the district and the harm caused to health due to polluted environment through seminars and publicity. The work of planting trees in common places is also going on.
On this occasion, the organization's officials KS Bindra, RP Walia, Rachpal Singh, Neem Mohammad, Vijay Grover, Rain Basera staff members Tina, Ramji, Sham Lal and others were present.
