
Bhangra camp started at Sikh National College Bhangra
Nawanshahr - To promote Punjabi folk dance Bhangra, the fifth Bhangra training camp was started by Sikh National College Charan Banga under the guidance of Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder and in collaboration with the Bhangra artists of the college. Sardar Charan Singh Gill USA specially attended as the chief guest to inaugurate it.

While conducting the inaugural ceremony, Sardar Charan Singh formally inaugurated the camp by cutting the ribbon. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder addressed and welcomed all the children, boys, girls and youth who had come to the Bhangra camp through words and asked them to take maximum benefit of this initiative. Sharing his views on this occasion, Sardar Charan Singh Gill appreciated the initiative of the college and asked the students to connect with their heritage. About 70 trainees were present on the first day of this camp. On this occasion, Superintendent Paramjit Singh, Professor Gurpreet Singh, Jitinder Mohan, Satnam Singh, journalist Narinder Mahi, Mukesh Kumar, coach Pawan Kumar, Gurpreet Singh Dhamdat and all the student artists of the college's Bhangra team were present.
