Speaking on this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jaspreet Kaur said that diabetes in pregnant women during pregnancy is a matter of serious concern. He said that the possibility of diabetes increases in pregnant women during pregnancy Factors such as family history of diabetes, first pregnancy in a woman's 30s, obesity and stillbirth can be the cause. He said that women suffering from diabetes may have signs like weight gain, excessive fatigue, thirst, frequent hunger, body itching and feeling weak.
On this occasion, Dr. Ritika, Gynecologist said that it is necessary for pregnant women to get their sugar level checked during 24-28 weeks of pregnancy. He said that in case of increasing sugar level, it is necessary for pregnant women to control their food and drink habits as per the doctor's advice and also take light walks. He said that if diabetes is not treated on time, high blood pressure in a woman, large size of the child, birth by cesarean instead of normal delivery due to the large size of the child, allergy to private parts, death of the child in the womb. , the newborn baby may have breathing problems, the baby's body parts are not fully developed, diabetes problems etc. in children.
