Polling parties leave for their destination

Una Jatin Lal said that all preparations have been completed for the voting in the Lok Sabha and two assembly by-elections in Una district on Saturday, June 1, 2024. The respective polling parties for all the assembly constituencies of the district left for their destination today on Friday 31 May. Let us tell you, 2482 polling personnel will complete the voting process in the district. At the same time, 1207 police personnel will be deployed at the polling stations from the security point of view.

Una Jatin Lal said that all preparations have been completed for the voting in the Lok Sabha and two assembly by-elections in Una district on Saturday, June 1, 2024. The respective polling parties for all the assembly constituencies of the district left for their destination today on Friday 31 May. Let us tell you, 2482 polling personnel will complete the voting process in the district. At the same time, 1207 police personnel will be deployed at the polling stations from the security point of view.
District Election Officer Jatin Lal said that 516 polling stations have been set up in the district, out of which 51 are critical. He said that 50 polling stations in the district will be operated by women personnel. In these, 10-10 polling stations in each assembly constituency will be operated by women personnel. Apart from this, young workers will take charge of 1 polling station in every assembly constituency. Apart from this, a total of 20 model polling stations have been set up in the district, in which there will be 4-4 model polling stations assembly wise. Apart from this, arrangements for webcasting have been made at 399 polling stations in the district. Taking a special initiative in the district, an eco-friendly green polling station has been set up in Dehlan of Una assembly constituency.
Special decoration of polling stations
The polling stations have been specially decorated to attract voters in the district. Apart from this, special arrangements have also been made for the convenience of the voters. All basic facilities like pure drinking water, shade trees, toilets, wheelchairs for the disabled, adequate light facilities and NCC and NSS volunteers will also be deployed at the polling stations.
The Deputy Commissioner Una has appealed to the residents of the district to participate enthusiastically in this festival of democracy and fearlessly exercise their right to vote without being influenced by religion, lineage, caste, community, language or any temptation.
