Nawanshahr - Nawanshahr MLA Dr. Nachhatar Pal said that Guru Nanak Mission Medical and Educational Trust will raise the question of establishing a medical college by Dhahan clerics in the Vidhan Sabha. And will emphasize the need for the Punjab government to prove itself functional at the ground level to fulfill this mission of the trust. The MLA said that since 40 years, this institution has charted a successful journey of continuous services and facilities in rural areas. He said that the work that should have been done by the government is being done by social service organizations. On this occasion, he also discussed with the medical staff of the hospital. Kulwinder Singh Dhahan, president of Guru Nanak Mission Medical and Educational Trust Dhahan Clares, said that it was the dream of Baba Budh Singh Dhahan to establish a medical college here. He said that he fulfills the requirements for Guru Nanak Mission Hospital Medical College. 
MLA Dr. Nachhatar Pal was warmly welcomed by the trust and honored with a memento dedicated to the hospital's 40th anniversary celebrations. On this occasion Dr Surinder Jaspal Principal Guru Nanak College of Nursing Dhahan Claren, Dr Jasdeep Sigh Saini, Dr Balwinder Singh Deputy Medical Superintendent, Rajdeep Thithwad Vice Principal Guru Nanak Para Medical College, Prof Sukhminder Kaur, Associate Prof Navjot Kaur Sahota, Jatinder Kumar, Mandeep Kaur, Bhagwant Singh Dhahan etc. were involved.
