Patiala, May 25 - The police have registered a case against two persons including a woman and arrested a youth named Lovepreet Singh in connection with the death of Gurdas, a resident of Ghagga police station area. It was through Lovepreet Singh that the deceased Gurdas sold his smart watch to the accused woman Melo Kaur. The woman had sold white to both of them in exchange for a smart watch, from which Gurdas died due to an injection. According to Daljit, father of the deceased Gurdas Verma, Gurdas had become addicted to drugs a few months ago but now after giving up drugs, he goes to Gurdas Sahib daily. On 23rd also he went to Gurudwara Sahib to pay obeisance but did not return home. When the family members went to search, Gurdas was found unconscious in the grain market. He was admitted to Rajindra Hospital, where Gurdas died during treatment. Ghagga police station SHO Darshan Singh said that an accused has been arrested in the case of the death of 22-year-old Gurdas, who will be produced in the court tomorrow.
