Nawanshahr - About 60 Kirti Kisan Union farmers, farmer wives and laborers who were going to Jalandhar to protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi were arrested by the police of district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar at village Udapar. These farm laborers were going to Jalandhar to protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in two buses. Heavy police force stopped them at village Urapad. Where they had a conflict with the police for a long time. 
When the police did not allow them to proceed, they staged a dharna on the road itself. Addressing this protest, District President of Kirti Kisan Union Surinder Singh Bains, State Committee Member Bhupinder Singh Waraich, District Secretary Tarsem Singh Bains, Sohan Singh Atwal, Surjit Kaur Uttal, Paramjit Singh Shahabpur, Surinder Singh Mehrampur, Colonel Singh Moula Udapar, Kamaljit Sanawa, District Leader of Rural Labor Union, said that their organizations have already announced to oppose the Prime Minister's election rallies. He said that the Modi government tried to suppress the farmers who were agitating peacefully with the ax of repression. The Prime Minister did not implement the agreed demands of the farmers. They said that it is their democratic right to protest and stopping them from protesting is an undemocratic move by the government. The BJP government is a fascist government and it is important that the BJP is given a crushing defeat in the elections. He said that the AAP government of Punjab first arrested the farm laborers from their homes and then stopped them on the roads. From which it has been proved that the Aam Aadmi Party is the B team of the BJP. He said that the anti-farmer and anti-labourer face of AAP's Punjab government has been exposed. It is worth mentioning here that after blocking the road for two hours, the police arrested the farmers-labourers and took them to Aur police station. They were not released by the police until the news was written.
