The voters of the district were made aware for voting under the voter resolution signature campaign

Hoshiarpur - Electoral Literacy Club in collaboration with the District Public Relations Office has conducted a voter resolution signature campaign under the sweep activities to increase the voting percentage in the district. In just one week, under this campaign, children of 563 government and private schools of the district have obtained more than 1,64,000 signatures on the voter resolution letter from their parents and eligible voters of their mohalla and village till May 20.

Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Electoral Officer Komal Mittal said that Electoral Literacy Club through School Education Department has done a very good job regarding voter awareness which will play a positive role in voter awareness. He said that when children remind their parents and elders of their responsibility towards the society, good results are seen. He said that there are 1601826 voters in Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency and about 10 percent of the voters have signed this resolution. 
He said that students and guide teachers who played the best role in this campaign will also be honored by the district administration. He appealed to all the voters of the district to exercise their right to vote on June 1 without fear. He said that the district administration has completed all the preparations related to the elections on the instructions of the Election Commission of India and special attention is being paid to the convenience of the voters.
Electoral Literacy Club District Nodal Officer Shailendra Thakur said that Electoral Literacy Clubs have been formed in all 563 upper-primary government and private schools of the district. In which the students from Class IX to XII have been made members And voter awareness clubs conduct various activities during elections. He said that in this series, voter resolution signature campaign has been conducted with the support of students and guide teachers
