SDM held a meeting of the Green Mission Committee and gave instructions to everyone to plant as many trees as possible.

Hoshiarpur/Garhshankar, May 20: On the instructions given by Dr. Hira Lal, General Supervisor of Lok Sabha constituency Anandpur Sahib, a meeting of the Green Mission Committee was held today at 045 Garhshankar under the chairmanship of SDM-cum-Assistant Returning Officer Garhshankar Shivraj Singh Bal. During the meeting, he instructed the officers and staff engaged in the elections to plant as many trees as possible to reduce carbon emissions during the election process.

Hoshiarpur/Garhshankar, May 20: On the instructions given by Dr. Hira Lal, General Supervisor of Lok Sabha constituency Anandpur Sahib, a meeting of the Green Mission Committee was held today at 045 Garhshankar under the chairmanship of SDM-cum-Assistant Returning Officer Garhshankar Shivraj Singh Bal. During the meeting, he instructed the officers and staff engaged in the elections to plant as many trees as possible to reduce carbon emissions during the election process. He said that in the light of the 'Green Elections' resolution of the Election Commission of India, our aim should be to have a free, fair, transparent and environment-friendly election process. He said that for this purpose, while it is necessary to encourage political parties/candidates not to use 'single use plastic', the government staff engaged in election management should also be made a part of this 'Green Election' campaign. In this series, the office staff at Garhshankar police station planted saplings and also took the oath regarding Green Elections 2024.
