Nawanshahr - Under the guidelines of the Election Commission regarding the Lok Sabha elections and under the chairmanship of District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa, the second rehearsal of the polling staff of Vidhan Sabha Constituency Nawanshahr was conducted today by the concerned ARO cum SDM Akshita Gupta. On this occasion, District Election Officer Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa said that plants are being planted at all the polling booths so that the environment can be protected from the increasing heat in the environment and the pollution of vehicles during the elections.
While giving motivation to the staff on this occasion, he said that only biodegradable items should be used on all the booths and also the public should be made aware about green election. Assistant Returning Officer Nawanshahr Akshita Gupta said that the second rehearsal of the polling staff of Nawanshahr Constituency has been conducted at Shivalik Public School. He said that the trained polling staff included presiding officer, assistant presiding officer and polling officer. He said that in the meantime, detailed information has been given to the polling staff about conducting the election process in a smooth and transparent manner. Apart from this, the entire polling staff was sworn to conduct green elections.
He said that according to the instructions of the Election Commission, the polling parties should know each and every action that will take place on the voting day. Therefore, information was given about the entire process of voting through the dummy machine. He said that in a polling party there is a presiding officer, an assistant presiding officer and two polling officers and each has its own work. On this occasion, training was given to the polling staff by master trainers.
