International Nursing Day was celebrated at Guru Nanak College of Nursing Dhahan Cleran

Nawanshahr- The International Nursing Day was celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the founder of nursing, at the famous Guru Nanak College of Nursing in Dhahan Claren, Punjab. The Chief Guest of this function Kulwinder Singh Dhahan President Guru Nanak Mission Medical and Educational Trust Dhahan clergy remembered the nurse Florence Nightingale who started the nursing service and congratulated the International Nursing Day.

He shared his thoughts regarding the theme of the year 2024 "Our Nurses, Our Future, Economic Power of Care" and said that its main purpose is to make people aware of the nursing profession and its greatness. He explained about the greatness of nursing profession and said that the contribution of nurses is important in making patients healthy.
          Before this, the function dedicated to the International Nursing Day started after the Gurbani Shabad. After this, the shama dedicated to the International Nursing Day was illuminated and the theme of the year 2024 was presented to the audience.
            On this occasion, Dr. Surinder Jaspal, Principal, Guru Nanak College of Nursing, Dhahan, congratulated the International Nursing Day and welcomed the chief guest and all the dignitaries, giving information about the life and achievements of Florence Nightingale, the founder of nursing. During the event, prizes were distributed to the students who won in various competitions dedicated to Nursing Day and at the end of the event, the nursing oath was also taken by the new students of BSC Nursing first year and GNM first year of the college.
             Amarjit Singh Claren Secretary Trust, Madam Ramandeep Kaur, Madam Rabia Hata, Vandana Basra, Shivani Bhardwaj, Sarabjit Kaur besides all nursing teachers and nursing students were present in the function held on the occasion of International Nursing Day. In the event, Madam Navjot Kaur Sahota handled the stage management very well.
