SAS Nagar, May 13 - Mohali Mayor Amarjeet Singh Jiti Sidhu said that sitting MLA Kulwant Singh has brought the development of Mohali to a standstill. While campaigning in favor of Lok Sabha candidate Vijay Inder Singla from Sri Anandpur Sahib seat, he said that in the last two and a half years the MLA has not brought any new development project for the area.
Mayor Jiti Sidhu said that during the tenure of former MP Balbir Singh Sidhu, there was no obstruction or delay in any development project or public work, whereas no work was done during the tenure of the present government.
He criticized the present government for not providing any relief to the residents in the matter of increase in prices of plots in Sector 76 to 80 by GMADA and said that Halka MLA Kulwant Singh remained silent on this serious matter instead of providing any relief to the affected people.
He said that the Bhagwant Mann government has failed to fulfill the promises made before the elections and people have lost faith in the present government, which will be confirmed by the results of the Lok Sabha elections.
