Chandigarh May 12, 2024:- Panjab University, Chandigarh conducted the PU CET (UG) Entrance Test – 2024 on 12.05.2024 (Sunday) for admission to undergraduate courses.  Total twenty centres were created, sixteen at Chandigarh, one each at Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana and two at Sri Muktsar Sahib.  The detailed percentage and total number of candidates appeared  in this entrance test subject wise was as under:-

 

                   Mathematics          :         ­­­­83.96 %  (2351 out of 2800)

 

                   Chemistry             :         84.69 %  (5271 out of 6224)

 

                   Physics                 :         84.72 % (5273 out of 6224)

 

                   Biology                 :         85.06 %  (3193 out of 3754)

 

Total 84.66 % candidates appeared in the test.  Flying squad and observers were deputed to every centre for routine checking and smooth conduct of the test. The test was conducted satisfactorily and no untoward incident was reported from any of the examination centres.
