Mandi Gobindgarh, May 9 - The NCC wing of Desh Bhagat University organized a voter awareness rally in collaboration with the NCC wing of Desh Bhagat Global School. The event was a joint effort by the NCC wings (Air/Army and Navy) of both organizations, demonstrating their commitment to civic engagement and social responsibility.
The rally started from the university playground under the leadership of Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Prof. Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, in which teachers and students/NCC cadets of both institutions participated. Adviser to the Chancellor Dr Varinder Singh emphasized the importance of voting as a fundamental right and civic duty of every citizen. Dr Virinder Singh, Registrar Dr Sudeep Mukherjee, Dr Pramod Mandal and CTOs Dr Ajaipal Singh (Army Wing), S Gurjit Singh Pandher (Air Wing), S Chamanpreet Kaur (Navy Wing) and Achharpal Singh participated in this rally and the rally reached Amloh, Mandi Gobindgarh and Khanna city.
All wings, CTOs and NCC cadets played a vital role in spreading awareness about the importance of voting. On this occasion, University Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhijit Joshi and Vice President Dr. Harsh Sadavarti emphasized the need for continuous efforts to create voter awareness.
