Patiala, January 12 - Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni while presiding over the monthly meeting of the District Health Society today reviewed the action taken by the Health Department on the instructions issued last month and said that to provide better health facilities to the people, the Department through each health scheme Schedule services to people so that better results can be achieved.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Anuprita Johal was also present in the meeting. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Suman, Family Planning, RBSK, NPCB, Chief Minister Cancer Relief Fund Yojana, National Vector Borne Disease Control Program and TB Control Program. And gave directions for more effective implementation of these schemes. While reviewing the National Child Health Program during the meeting, Sakshi Sahni instructed the parents to be aware to check the health of the young children studying in the school and get them vaccinated at the right time.
On this occasion, Dr. JP Singh, Medical Superintendent of Government Mata Kushlia Hospital, said that 1 lakh 20 thousand 801 students have been examined under the school health program. Spectacles have also been provided to 1351 students.
