Expressing this opinion, Indian Federation of Trade Unions (IFTU) Punjab President Kulwinder Singh Waraich and State Press Secretary Jasbir Deep have invited all IFTU units of the state to celebrate the International Labor Day.
He said that the corporate government, which has to raise the standard of living of the workers. is eliminating permanent jobs. PF, ESI, pension, minimum wages, education, medical facilities, reservation have been abolished and essential services have been handed over to corporate sectors. Economic inequality has increased. 29 labor laws that the working class fought for have been brought in favor of corporate and converted into four codes. This central government has written a death warrant for the rights of 45 crore working class.
The BJP-RSS Modi government is constantly attacking the rights of the working class and the people fighting against the fanatical fascist attacks. The rights of workers are not protected. In the name of CAA, UCC and other steps, it is inciting religious hatred in the country. It is hurting the unity between different religions and castes that have been living together for thousands of years and is attacking the unity of the working masses. The working class must strongly oppose such divisive policies and fight unitedly against BJP's anti-labour policies. The need of the hour is that the working class expands its unity and organizes a strong struggle against the anti-labour policies adopted by the BJP central government.
The working class must fight in the spirit of the sacrifices of the martyrs of Chicago. Despite struggling against BJP's anti-labour policies for the past 10 years, the Modi government has not resolved the problems of workers. It is working more and more strongly for the interests of the corporate sector. All sectors of the working class across the country must unite and prepare for long-term strike struggles and other forms of unified, comprehensive struggle.
