Patiala, October 30: Under the patronage of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and under the leadership of Minister for Higher Education and Languages Harjot Singh Bains, the Punjabi Month-2023 related events being celebrated by the Department of Languages Punjab began on November 1 at the head of the Department of Languages, Punjab. The office will be held at Patiala with a state level event. Harjot Singh Bains, Minister for Higher Education and Languages, will be the chief guest during this inaugural function. District Planning Board Patiala Chairman Jassi Sohianwala will preside over the function. Best Punjabi book awards will be presented to various writers during this literary event. Additional Director of Language Department Dr. Virpal Kaur  Giving this information, that after this event, literary events will be organized in different districts of the state and the last event will be held at Bhasha Bhawan, Patiala.
   He said that during the Punjabi Month, a seminar on 'Punjabi Language and Media' will be held at Sri Fatehgarh Sahib on November 2, 'Children's Literature Discussion' at Ropar on November 3, Urdu Musahira at Malerkotla on November 4, Bhasha Bhavan on November 6. State Level Goshti dedicated to 850th Birth Centenary of Baba Sheikh Farid ji at Patiala, 'Punjabi Story Workshop' at Sangrur on 7th November, Author Meet/Ru-Bu-ru and Book Release Event at Mansa on 8th November, Hoshiarpur on 9th November A function dedicated to Gadar movement, traditional folk singing at Pathankot on 10th November, poet durbar dedicated to Sant Ram Udasi at Barnala, Punjabi poet durbar at Nawan Shahr on 14th November, seminar on state and direction of Punjabi novel at Moga on the same day. will go
   He said that Punjabi literature creation and poetry singing competition (state level) at Jalandhar on 15th November, State level quiz competition at Ludhiana on 17th November, Ghazal workshop at Kapurthala on 18th November, SAS on 20th November. Book Fair and Literary Meetings at Nagar (State Level), Lecture and Book Release Ceremony on the Current Status of Punjabi Language at Ferozepur on November 21, Kavi Darbar dedicated to the 850th Birth Centenary of Baba Sheikh Farid Ji at Faridkot on November 22 (State Level), Punjabi Natak Mela (State Level) at Fazilka on 23rd November, Writers meet/Ruburu event at Sri Muktsar Sahib on 24th November, Drama Workshop at Bathinda on 25th November, Writers meet and seminar on Punjabi Language at Amritsar on 28th November. A seminar on Punjabi songwriting and singing will be held at Gurdaspur on November 29.
   The best Hindi, Sanskrit and Urdu awards will be distributed during the farewell ceremony at Bhasha Bhawan Patiala on November 30, the last day of this month. Along with this, a literary and cultural event (state level) will be organized.
