SAS Nagar, May 30 - District Athletics Association Mohali is organizing the 10th Athletics Summer Camp from June 1 to June 20.

Giving information regarding this, Swaran Singh, a retired athletics coach from Sports Authority of India and general secretary of the association, said that this camp is held every morning in the nature park opposite YPS school from 6 am to 8 pm and in the evening from 5:30 pm. to 7:30 pm.

He said that boys and girls above 8 years of age can participate in it. There is no fee for this summer camp and it is an initiative to increase interest in athletics and sports in the district and to make children aware of the importance of physical exercise in life.

Association President Malakiat Singh said that in this camp the children will be taught the basic actions of athletics and the training of the children will be done under the supervision of the athletics team. After the training, the children will be given refreshments every day and during the camp they will also be brought face to face with the sportsmen who are shining the name of Mohali district to increase the interest of the children in sports.
