Meerut- After the death of 10 people of the same family due to the collapse of a three-storey house in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, there is a wave of mourning in the densely populated area of ??Zakir Colony. According to the administration, 10 people of the same family died and five others were injured when a three-storey house collapsed in Meerut's Zakir Colony on Sunday. Meerut in-charge minister Dharampal Singh today met the victims of the accident and also inspected the incident site. On the question of giving government financial assistance to the victims' families, he told reporters that life has no value.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is very sensitive about such incidents and he has come here on his instructions. He said that all possible help will be given to the victim's family. District Magistrate Deepak Meena, Senior Police Captain Vipan Tanda, Mayor Harikant Ahluwalia, Cantonment MLA Amit Agarwal etc. were present on this occasion. On Sunday, when the dead bodies of these people reached Zakir Colony, tears came to everyone's eyes after seeing so many dead bodies together.
Local people say that for the first time, so many bodies reached the crematorium at the same time and they were cremated late in the evening. Before this, a huge crowd gathered at the funeral. Due to the accident, not only Zakir Colony but the shops and markets of the surrounding areas remained closed. Relatives of the victim's family said that 15 people were present in the house at the time of the accident.
Late on Sunday evening, Minister of State for Energy and MLA of the area Somendr Tomar also visited the family members of the victims. The state minister has assured the victim's family of all possible government help. Seven-year-old Riya, who lost her father Sajid (40) and sister Sania (15) in the accident, is crying after the incident.
