It so happened that after heavy rain on Friday afternoon, two persons riding a bike were going on the Una-Nangal National Highway. Who had cash worth thousands of rupees kept in a bag nearby. Some distance behind Peernigah turn, suddenly notes started falling out of the bag. Meanwhile, school children were returning home after vacation. The children were surprised to see 200 and 500 rupee notes fallen on the road and started picking up the notes lying on the road. Seeing the children picking up the notes from the road, the local passers-by also started competing in picking up the notes. Meanwhile, the two-wheeler and four-wheeler drivers passing through the road also applied brakes and took whatever came to hand and moved ahead. It is being told that the people riding the bike came to know about the fallen notes after turning Pirnigah and traveling some distance. By the time we reached back on the road, all the notes were missing. On the other hand, Superintendent of Police Arjit Sen said that no complaint has been received regarding the matter. If any complaint is received, further action will be taken.
