Patiala, April 22 - In view of the Lok Sabha elections, the date for depositing the ammunition to the ammunition holders of Patiala district has been extended till April 29, 2024 at 5 pm. In these orders issued by the Additional District Magistrate Madam Kanchan, it has been said that the license holders should immediately deposit their firearms with the local police station or the concerned firearms dealers.
  The ADC said that earlier the date of deposit of ammunition was April 22, which has now been extended to April 29 at 5 pm. Madam Kanchan said that in view of the Lok Sabha elections, in order to maintain peace and law and order in Patiala district, to maintain peace and conduct the upcoming elections in a smooth and peaceful manner, it is in the interest of the people to deposit their weapons. It is necessary so that no untoward incident takes place. These orders issued by the Additional District Magistrate will not apply to Army Personnel, Para Military Forces, Bawardi Police Personnel and Guards in Banks.
