Rickangpio- A pickup jeep met with an accident on Thursday morning near Pooh in the tribal district of Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh, due to which 3 women died. 3 other women including the jeep driver were seriously injured in the accident. According to information, the pickup jeep was carrying gravel and MGNREGA women. The jeep suddenly went out of control and fell 50 feet.
According to the information, on Thursday morning at around 7.30 am, the driver Deepak, a resident of Nepal, was going to Gandhi Mohalla Ground by loading gravel in the MNREGA work in a pickup jeep. Apart from the driver, 6 women were also riding in the jeep. Meanwhile, the driver lost control of the vehicle, due to which the vehicle fell on the road about 50 feet below the road.
During the accident, three women in the vehicle died on the spot and the driver and three other women were seriously injured. Vice President Pahu informed the police about the accident. The injured women were taken to CHC Pooh for treatment, where they were referred to Regional Hospital Rikangpyo. As soon as the accident was reported, a team from the police station Pooh reached the spot and investigated the matter and took the dead bodies into their possession. The police have registered a case and started further action.
