Hoshiarpur - Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Amandeep Kaur informed that according to the instructions of the government, various cleaning programs are being conducted from 14 September 2024 to 2 October 2024 under the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign. Under this campaign, various cleaning operations have been ensured daily. Commissioner Municipal Corporation said that on the third day of 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign, single use plastic was checked on all the food streets of the city.
Meanwhile, fast food vendors were made aware about not using single use plastic. Apart from this, a cleaning campaign was also conducted on these food streets and all the places were cleaned. Dr. Amandeep Kaur has appealed to the city residents to cooperate in making Hoshiarpur city clean and plastic free. He said that single use plastic should not be used by anyone and its sale should be completely banned so that the city can be made pollution free and clean.
On this occasion, all sanitary inspectors of the municipal corporation, community facilitators, concerned supervisors and other corporation employees were present.
