Mahilpur, September 13 - CPI (M) National General Secretary Sita Ram Yechury passed away last night. In his memory, the colleagues gathered at Dr. Bhag Singh Hall Garhshankar first paid tribute to the departed soul by observing a 2-minute silence. Presenting his picture and flowers of devotion on this occasion, various speakers said that Sita Ram Yechury was the leading figure of the left movement and the republican movement and he was a staunch opponent of communalism.
On this occasion, Darshan Singh Mattu said that he was a kind hearted person and his departure was a great loss. Comrade Gurnek Singh Bajjal, Darshan Singh Mattu, Subhash Mattu, Mahinder Kumar Badoan, Principal Bikar Singh, Harmesh Singh Dhesi etc. were present on this occasion.
