Society moves forward only with girls - Brahm Shankar Gimpa

Hoshiarpur - Punjab Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that our entire society progresses only because of our daughters. Now the slogan is not 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' but 'Teach girls and give them higher education', because our daughters are going from small jobs to flying fighter planes. He was addressing the program related to the birth anniversary of newborn girls under 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' at Gurdwara Shri Guru Ravidas in village Adamwal today.

On this occasion, Mayor Surinder Kumar, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Deputy Mayor Ranjit Chaudhary, SDM Sanjeev Sharma were also present with him. Addressing the program organized by CDPO Hoshiarpur-1 Rajinder Kaur under the leadership of District Program Officer Hardeep Kaur, the Cabinet Minister said that the progress of the society is possible only with daughters. During this, he planted saplings in the name of 10 newborn girls in Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar Park and also cut a cake in the name of these 10 girls.
He said that in terms of progress, our country is at number 3-4 out of 192 cases. Our daughters are making their name shine in every field. The department has done a commendable job by planting trees in the name of daughters. He praised the officers and employees of the department and said that they are doing a very commendable job. On this occasion, stalls of 11 low-cost and high-nutrition dishes were also set up under the Nutrition Month. The chief guest also honored 10 newborn girls by giving them a shagun of Rs 500 each. Blankets were also distributed to these girls by the department and children's watches were also given to the girls who achieved 5 achievements. On this occasion, the girls who performed were also given a reward of Rs 4000. District Program Officer Hardeep Kaur, CDPO Hoshiarpur-2 Daya Rani, CDPO Bhunga Jaswinder Kaur, MMO Baldev Singh, Rama Devi, Manpreet Singh, Gurdwara Ravidas Nagar President Sunil, Rajan Saini, Satvir Sati, Jaswant Singh, Avtar Tari, Bakhtawar Singh, Harbilas, Suman Bahl, Kamaljit Bahl, Vikramjit Sadhu, Natha Singh, Anil Kumar were also present in today's program. All supervisors and 5 girls who achieved success in various fields were also present. The role of stage management was played very well by Sandeep Kaur and Rajinder Kaur.
