"Plant a tree" campaign by Akashwani Chandigarh

22 September Chandigarh:- On the occasion of World Environment Day on 5 June, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the "Ek Ped Maa De Naam" campaign and planted a Peepal tree in the Buddha Jayanti Park of the national capital. Thus, the tree plantation program has become a mass movement to explain the importance of greenery and trees across the country.

Thus, the tree plantation program has become a mass movement to explain the importance of greenery and trees across the country.
Under this campaign, a tree plantation program was organized in the premises of Akashvani Chandigarh today under the leadership of Deputy Director (Engineering) Shri Kashmir Singh and Program Principal Smt. Poonam Amrit Singh. The entire staff participated in this campaign with great enthusiasm. Everyone took a pledge to take care of the plants and keep the environment clean.
Apart from this, Akashvani Chandigarh is also celebrating the contribution of cleanliness these days. During this fortnight, the entire office premises is being made free from garbage. Apart from rooms, car sheds, parks, staff quarters located in the Akashvani premises are also being cleaned.
