Mahilpur, (April 25)- Deputy Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha S. Jai Krishna Singh Rowdy visited different grain mandis today and took stock of the purchase of wheat. Meanwhile, he reviewed the procurement process at Rohmajra, Panam, Samundra, Garhshankar, Sela, Moranwali and Mahilpur mandis and also interacted with the farmers. He said that one grain of farmers' crops will be bought in the markets.
He asked the officials to ensure that the lifting and payment of the purchased wheat is done simultaneously. He said that all the arrangements have been completed for the purchase of wheat in the mandis, so that the farmers do not have to face any kind of trouble while selling the crop in the mandis. He said that water, lights, fans, shade, generator sets and toilets have been arranged in all the markets. He said that the MSP of wheat this year has been fixed at Rs 2275 per quintal.
He appealed to the farmers to bring the crops to the markets after drying them completely, so that they do not face any problem in marketing the crops. He instructed the officials and procurement agencies that farmers should not face any kind of problem. On this occasion Charanjit Singh Channi, Baldeep Singh, Deepak Kumar MC, Sumit Soni, Sucha Singh Kukkar Majra, Master Satpal Singh Lath, Rinka Chaudhary, Mohit Gupta, Balvir Singh Dhillon, Ajmer Singh Dhillon, Balbir Singh Sangha Muggowal, Rajiv Kumar, Jujhar Singh, Rajinder Singh Dhillo, Kulwinder Singh Perry, Ajmer Singh Ramgarh Jhungi and other personalities were present.
