Una, December 15 - The quarterly meeting of the Zilla Parishad was organized in the Zilla Parishad Hall under the chairmanship of Zilla Parishad President Neelam Kumari. Apart from Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer Zip Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar, senior officials of various departments of the district and Zilla Parishad members from different areas were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, first of all, the action taken on various proposals related to the proceedings of the last meeting was confirmed. After this, various seven proposals related to the special meeting held in the month of September 2023 were also discussed in detail. Apart from this, approval of income expenditure of Zilla Parishad, action plans approved under the 15th Finance Commission and items related to many other departments were discussed.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer Una instructed all the officers present in the meeting to take seriously the items discussed in the District Council meeting and the guidelines given during it. He said that the officers should ensure to complete the works related to the Zilla Parishad in minimum time period so that the people of the area can get their benefits as soon as possible. In the meeting, District Council Chairperson Neelam Kumari said that in the meeting all the departmental officers gave very satisfactory answers regarding various items. He said that the attitude of all the officers in various works related to Zilla Parishad in Una district has been cooperative due to which today's meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere.
In the meeting, District Council member Satish Sharma asked about the necessary steps being taken by the government and the Animal Husbandry Department for the destitute cattle in the district, to which Vinay Sharma, Deputy Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, said that 34 cow shelters are being run at different places in Una district. And the state government is giving assistance amount of Rs. 700 per cow to the cow shed registered with Himachal Pradesh Cow Service Commission.
Regarding the question raised by Zilla Parishad Vice President Krishna Pal Sharma regarding growing of fodder for cattle on vacant government land and construction of additional cow sheds for cattle, ADC Una called upon all the members to come forward to do so in 10 districts under their respective Zilla Parishad areas. -Send a proposal to the district administration for such vacant government land ranging from 12 kanals to 25-26 kanals which is not under any occupation or dispute, so that that land can be transferred to the name of Panchayati Raj Department or Animal Husbandry Department for fodder. . Apart from the dilapidated condition of the culverts on the Thana Kalan Bhakra road, Vice President Krishna Pal Sharma also asked questions from the concerned departments regarding the Shiva Project working in the area. Detailed information was given by the Public Works Department and the Horticulture Department in this regard.
District Council member Sushil Kalia, apart from restarting the closed routes of Himachal Road Transport Corporation in his area, demanded to start some buses going from Una to Daulatpur to Baia Sunkali, Banhera, on which Suresh, Regional Manager of Himachal Road Transport Corporation, Dhiman gave positive assurance. He also demanded construction of about 9 link roads on embankments in his area, which was discussed in detail.
