He said that in Patiala district, apart from cooperative societies, farmers also have CRM to manage stubble with in situ technology. Machinery procured under the scheme is available. He said that in Patiala district Happy Seeder, Mulcher, Paddy Straw Chopper, R.M.B. Modern machinery like Plow, Rotary Slasher, Rotavitor, Smart Seeder, Super SMS, Super Seeder, Surface Seeder and Zero Till Drill are available. He said that farmers should use in situ techniques for stubble management as it avoids environmental pollution and also increases the fertility of the land.
Dr. Gurnam Singh said that 14,000 quintal seeds are being provided to the farmers in Patiala district by the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department of the Punjab Government on 50% subsidy.
