SAS Nagar, August 30 President of Mohali Property Consultant Association S. Harpreet Singh Dadwal, while condemning the action of imposing Prime Location Charge (PLC) on the land pooling scheme plots allotted to land owners in lieu of land acquisition in new sectors, said that GMADA is allotting one acre (4840 yards) residential plot. There is no point in giving prime location to these plots in exchange of 500 yards of land and 125 yards of commercial plot and this decision should be reversed immediately. He said that most of the land owners who had taken plots under the Land Pooling Scheme had sold these plots for their own needs or to buy land elsewhere and those who had bought these plots were now being charged PLC charges by GMADA. and this leads to disputes between land owners and the customers who acquire plots from them. He said that GMADA's decision to charge PLC from these plots given to land owners is also wrong in principle, because there is no justification in charging prime location charge from the people whose land GMADA has acquired and settled in these sectors. . He requested Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann (who is also the Chairman of GMADA) to intervene in the matter and cancel GMADA's decision to impose PLC on land pooling plots. He said that this action of GMADA is adversely affecting the property market, it is also tarnishing the image of the government and this issue should be resolved immediately.
