The bill was introduced today on the second day of the three-day monsoon session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, which began on September 2.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that this bill will benefit all those people who have either purchased plots before July 31 or have paid the deposit/advance amount in this regard and can also prove that they have The purchase made by is reasonable.
"All such deals will be treated as legal transactions and all basic facilities will be provided to the owners of such plots," he said.
It is to be mentioned that there are about 14 thousand illegal colonies in Punjab and the enactment of this bill will benefit thousands of plot owners of these colonies. Later, the bill was unanimously passed by the Vidhan Sabha.
