SAS Nagar, July 27 - House Owner Welfare Society Phase 5 celebrated Van Mahautsav at Bal Gopal Gaushala in Balongi. On this occasion, former minister of Punjab Balveer Singh Sidhu was specially present and along with society president Jai Singh Sambhi and other members planted various types of plants including mango and neem in the cowshed.
On this occasion, Sidhu urged the society members to take care of the plants and said that maximum number of trees should be planted in Mohali city to keep the environment clean. He said that Sidhu Foundation has started a campaign to plant saplings in the city and its surrounding villages. Under which saplings are being planted daily by the members of the foundation.
On this occasion, Mukesh Bansal, General Secretary of the Society, Rajinder Singh, Senior Vice President Sikander Singh, Librarian Davinder Singh, Vice President Rachpal Singh, Advisor PD Wadhwa and Mewa Singh were also present on this occasion.
