
Organized anti-drug awareness camp at Senior Secondary School Kariha
Nawanshahr - Today, an anti-drug awareness camp was organized by the Red Cross De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center Nawanshahr at Government Senior Secondary School of Kariha village as part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The camp was presided over by Mrs. Ranjit Kaur, Principal.
Nawanshahr - Today, an anti-drug awareness camp was organized by the Red Cross De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center Nawanshahr at Government Senior Secondary School of Kariha village as part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The camp was presided over by Mrs. Ranjit Kaur, Principal. Speaking on this occasion Mr. Chaman Singh (Project Director) said that the period of adolescence is considered very important in a person's life. Because this is the time, when many physical and psychological changes take place. He said that youths who abuse drugs often have to face many problems. These include academic difficulties, health problems (including mental health), poor peer relationships, etc. He said that counseling and education are some of the best ways to deal with drug cases. Avoiding peer pressure can help reduce these habits to a great extent. Help from family and friends can do a lot of damage control. Rehabilitation centers have been started here mainly to help drug addiction patients. Ajmer Sidhu (teacher) expressed his views and said that today's youth is getting stuck in the swamp of drugs. It is our primary duty to save our youth keeping humanity at the fore. On this occasion, students Jaspreet Kaur and Simran Kaur expressed their views against drugs. On this occasion, Savita Rani and Rajini Sharma presented their views. Ranjit Kaur (Principal) thanked the team of Red Cross Nawanshahr. Teachers and students were present in this camp.
