On this occasion, Mr. Chaman Singh (Project Director) gave a speech in detail about the history of Red Cross and told about the life of Sir Henry, the founder of Red Cross, that he used to bandage the wounded people in the war, who served humanity. established the Red Cross for the welfare of the people, while also giving detailed information about the activities of the Red Cross which go in favor of humanity. He said that in today's era, drug addiction is a serious problem of our country and the youth of Punjab are also getting trapped in the mire of drugs day by day. Due to Punjab state being rich, the drug mafia has exploited it. He referred to many incidents and told how the youth of our Punjab is drowning in the mire of drugs. Youngsters are wasting money by pouring the hard earned money of their parents like water. Nowadays drug addicted students can be seen common in colleges, universities and now school students are being misled and trapped in the mire of drugs. He appealed that it is very important to give information about drugs to the students of the school from today, so that no student gets stuck in this quagmire knowingly or unknowingly. He said that the school teachers should also educate the children and give them information about drug addiction. Parents should also come to the school and get information about the education of the children, meet the teachers and parents in the school and must be present in the meeting.
Schools should have programs to prevent smoking, drinking, having sex or bad eating habits. They should work to improve the student's knowledge and skills and promote retention, development. Appealed to the students to tell their parents and neighborhood about today's camp, so that the needy can be treated.
On this occasion Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur (Counselor) while addressing the gathering informed the people about the facilities and activities of the center. If any youth is caught in this drug-like disease, he should be encouraged to join Kedar for treatment.
Mr. Ajmer Sidhu (Teacher) expressed his views and said that today's youth are getting stuck in the mire of drugs. Keeping humanity at the forefront, it is our primary duty to save our youth to make them aware of drugs so that they can stay away from drugs. On this occasion, the students of the school, Jaspreet Kaur and Simran Kaur, expressed their thoughts against drug addiction. And motivated the students to stay away from drugs.
