Nawanshahr - Singer Vasdev Pardesi Rakkadranwale, the patron of Artist Sangeet Sabha Nawanshahr, said that Punjab government cabinet minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal's help to the family of the famous singer Gurmeet Bawa, the queen of Punjab's Long Hake, is commendable.
He said that while the cabinet minister has helped one lakh rupees from his personal salary, he has also helped the artist's family by giving a check of one lakh rupees from the Red Cross. Cabinet Minister Dhaliwal has assured to provide further possible help. Vasdev Pardesi said that the government should establish a board to help artists.
The government should provide a pension of five thousand months to the artists associated with singing and music and for this the age limit should also be kept at 58 years and in this regard the verification should be obtained from the sarpanch of the concerned village, the numberedar and the MC of the municipal council in the cities. The condition should be kept.
