The objective of the program was to motivate the eligible voters of the district to vote on June 1. The residents of the city enjoyed the Rahgiri program organized by the district administration.
Nukkar Natak, bhangra by senior citizens from Gurdaspar, election related quiz, cultural programs were the center of attraction in the program. People were made aware about voting in sports in an entertaining event. 108 Students of Sant Narayan Dasji Blind School Bahowal (Mahilpur) made people aware with vote awareness song. On this occasion, IRS Officer Expenditure Observer Pawan Kumar Khaitan, Police Observer IPS Officer Kushal Pal Singh, District Election Officer Komal Mittal, SSP Surendra Lamba were specially present.
District Election Officer Komal Mittal said that the votes related to the Lok Sabha elections will be held in the entire district on June 1 from 7 am to 6 pm. Therefore, all the eligible voters of the district must use their polling officer. He said that our vote plays an important role in building a strong democracy, so every vote is valuable. He said that by conducting continuous activities in the district with the sweep medium, people have been made aware of their right to vote and undoubtedly positive results will be seen. Meanwhile, apart from election mascot Shera, Mickey Mouse, stall of free green election plants, free water pots for birds and voter awareness selfie point were the center of attraction.
