Una, December 26 - District level meeting of Eco Tourism Committee was organized at District Headquarters Una, which was presided over by Committee Chairman and Deputy Commissioner Una Raghav Sharma. In the meeting, a detailed discussion was held about the work progress and financial issues of the Eco Tourism Park to be built in Lathiani (Sohari) under Kutlahar Assembly constituency. Apart from this, various topics related to the operation of the eco-tourism park and tourist facility complex built in Andaroli were also discussed in detail. In the meeting, approval of Rs 2 crore 11 lakh was given for the construction works related to the Eco Tourism Park to be built on about one hectare land in Sohari village near Lathiani. Deputy Commissioner Una said that all the basic facilities for tourists including cafeteria, parking, children's park and toilets will be developed in the Eco Tourism Park to be built in Sohari. He said that on the lines of Andaroli, water sports related activities will be linked with Eco Tourism Park in Lathiani (Sohari) so that tourist traffic can be attracted in both the areas. Apart from this, tenders will also be invited soon for activities related to parasailing in Andrauli.
Deputy Commissioner Una instructed the officials of the Tourism Department to provide necessary training to the local youth in these areas and motivate them to organize self-employment related activities so that the activities of the Tourism Department being organized in Kutlahar area can provide self-employment to the local youth. He informed that in the near future, a tourism and adventure sports fair will be organized at the tourist place Andaroli so that along with getting this area recognized on the tourism map, the movement of tourists coming here can increase.
