Patiala, October 22 -1237 agricultural implements are available with 224 cooperative societies of the district to use in situ techniques for proper management of stubble in Patiala district. Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni said that micro-planning has been done to deliver the agricultural implements available to the cooperative societies to the farmers, so that the available machinery can be used to the maximum extent during the season.
He said that the cooperative societies of Patiala district have 324 happy seeders, 53 super seeders, 32 paddy straw choppers, 118 mulchers, 122 RMB. There are also 73 tractors including ploughs, 210 zero till drills, 11 super SMS, 294 rotaveaters, which are being provided to the farmers for stubble management and wheat sowing. He said that before the start of the season, the repair of all the machinery has been done by the cooperative societies and even if the machinery is damaged during the season, nodal officers have been appointed in coordination with the tool manufacturing companies for the immediate repair of the machinery, so that the machinery can be repaired during the season. The malfunctions can be rectified immediately.
Sakshi Sahni said that farmers can contact directly to get machinery from the cooperative societies, or else they can get information about the machinery by messaging the WhatsApp chat bot number 73800-16070 prepared by the district administration. He said that the farmers contacting the chat bot are called from the control room and the information about the day and where the machinery is required is shared with the nodal officer of the area so that the machinery can reach the farmer on time.
