All the 270434 metric tons of wheat reached in the markets so far have been purchased

Hoshiarpur - All the 270434 metric tons of wheat (100 percent) reached in the markets till last evening have been purchased in the markets of the district. Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that direct payment of Rs 578.26 crore has been made in the farmers' accounts of the purchased crop. The Deputy Commissioner said that till now 143542 metric tons of wheat have been lifted in the markets.

The Deputy Commissioner said that till now 143542 metric tons of wheat have been lifted in the markets.
  Which is 64 percent according to 72 hours. He said that in all the 74 mandis of the district wheat is being purchased smoothly and uninterruptedly. He said that currently Pangrain is the leader in terms of procurement and 75105 metric tons of wheat has been procured so far. Similarly, 61143 metric tons of wheat has been purchased by Markfed, 65975 by Pansap, 38070 by Punjab State Warehouse Corporation, 22448 by FCI and 7693 metric tons by traders. He said that keeping in mind the weather conditions, guidelines have been issued to the authorities regarding necessary arrangements.
The Deputy Commissioner said that one grain of wheat will be bought in the markets. He said that keeping in mind the convenience of the farmers, all the arrangements have been made in the mandis. He appealed to the farmers and said that the crops should not be brought to the market after being completely dried and harvesting should not be done with combines at night. He appealed to the farmers to save the environment from pollution by not burning wheat waste and grain.
