On this occasion, the Mayor said that no stone will be left unturned to make Mohali garbage free. Under this series, various campaigns are conducted by MC Mohali from time to time. He said that the proposal to appoint Swachhta Dut in each ward is at the final stage of approval, after which the Municipal Corporation will appoint Swachhta Dut in each ward which will give a boost to the results of the entire campaign. He said that if the city dwellers do not contribute their due towards cleanliness and environment, then our efforts will not show concrete results.
He said that 'Bharti Swachhata League' is India's first inter-urban competition which is led by youth to build garbage free cities under Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Navjot Kaur, Joint Commissioner Kiran Sharma, Senior Deputy Mayor Amrik Singh Somal, Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi besides councilors and senior officials were present on this occasion.
