He said that the dual and non-transparent policies of the government are hollowing out the people from the economic point of view. He said that it is not democratic to recognize unconstitutional methods by keeping liquor, petrol and diesel out of the purview of GST due to personal interest and said that liquor is an intoxicant but the governments themselves are encouraging it in various ways and due to which The prevalence of alcohol has increased rapidly among the youth and common people in the lives of the people of Punjab. Many types of taxes have also been imposed on petrol and diesel. If these three things come under the purview of GST, then their black marketing will be completely stopped. Big scams are taking place in India in the liquor business and black marketing of petrol and diesel is also the result of the policies of all these governments. He said that it is also surprising that the government has brought children's toffee, stationery and newspapers under the ambit of 18th GST, but Kumbhkaran is sleeping on the subject of liquor, petrol and diesel. Dhiman said that education and newspaper sectors should have been made tax free, but this got the government's attention, but liquor, petrol and diesel were not given any attention. There should have been maximum GST on liquor and there should have been 18 percent GST on petrol and diesel. He said that cheap petrol and diesel will bring great relief to the common people and the auto sector will also flourish. Farmers will also get relief. Dhiman said that liquor, petrol and diesel should not be sold without bill and complete tax details should be given in the bill. Selling these things without bill is completely wrong. Dhiman said that the Chief Minister of Punjab does not want these things to come under the purview of GST. But governments not doing so is opaque and injustice to the people. He appealed to the people. Be aware of bringing liquor, petrol and diesel under the ambit of GST and come forward in support of the Labor Party. This issue will be raised with full force during the 2024 elections and written support will also be sought from farmer organizations.
