SAS Nagar, September 21, 2024: As per the directions issued by the Punjab and Haryana High Court aand under the leadership of Atul Kasana, District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, S.A.S. Nagar, District Legal Services Authority, S.A.S. Nagar planting saplings of different types of trees in various schools of the district under the campaign 'Ek Pedh Maa Ke Naam’. 
     Under this campaign, 10 saplings each of different varieties were planted at Shivalik Public School, Sector-78, Mohali; Government Primary School, Milakh, Government Primary School, Mullanpur-2; School of Eminence, Mullanpur Garibdas and Government Primary School, Mastgarh.
??      A seminar was also organized at the School of Eminence, Mullanpur Garibdas to teach the students and staff members about the environment. Ms Surabhi Prashar, Secretary, of District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, encouraged the participants to plant a maximum number of trees to reduce the adverse effects on the environment due to increasing urbanization, industrialization and large-scale felling of trees.
