Nawanshahr - Today under the able leadership of Hon'ble Secretary of Indian Red Cross Society Mr. Shivdular Singh Dhillon IAS, a drug awareness camp was organized at Red Cross De-addiction Center Nawanshahr SBS Nagar, Punjab State Branch, Chandigarh and Government Hospital under "Nash Mukt Bharat Abhiyan". . It was presided over by Principal Shardar Jaswant Singh.
Speaking on this occasion Mr. Chaman Singh Project Director informed them about different types of drugs and their side effects. The effects can be physical, financial and social. He said that a person should lead an ideal life by reading biographies of heroic warriors and taking guidance from them. He said that the power of youth has an important contribution in the development of the society and the country. If someone is caught in this danger, we have to show them the way.
To make them aware, that if we are facing in the right direction, we just have to keep going. Their hopes and ours are alive. Kamaljit Kaur Councilor while giving information about Red Cross Drug De-addiction Center said that we treat drug addicts absolutely free. They are provided with a family-like environment for their easy stay and quick recovery. Principal Jaswant Singh presented his views and also thanked the Red Cross team.
